Renewing the Church

The Church in Milwaukee is flourishing today in so many ways. With your partnership, we at the St. Irenaeus Institute are working to complement and enrich that flourishing by providing opportunities for intellectual renewal in and around the Archdiocese.

Renewing the University

It has often been remarked that the Catholic Church has one of the longest-standing intellectual traditions in the world. Our mission at the St. Irenaeus Institute is to cultivate that living tradition and demonstrate its intellectual vitality at the institutions of higher learning in Milwaukee, represented especially by UW-Milwaukee and Marquette.

Renewing Milwaukee

Ultimately, we hope the work of making the Catholic intellectual tradition a vital part of the Church and the university will overflow into a renewal of the city itself, thereby both honoring and revitalizing Milwaukee’s rich Catholic heritage.
